On the long nights
Small rituals that let a day close gently, even when sleep is slow to come.
Nights feel long when we try to fill them. The screen convinces the brain that daylight is still here. Try lowering the brightness to its lowest setting — or better, leave the phone on another table. Pour a small glass of warm water, and drink it slowly. If you feel inclined, add one line to a page: today, there was one small thing that felt okay. Days do not all need to close perfectly. Sometimes, simply letting the body know that it is now allowed to rest is enough.
