Rest is not a reward
A soft reminder that pause does not have to be earned.
We were taught, gently, that rest is the prize for finishing the task. But the body is not a machine — it does not need permission to rest. Sitting down when you are tired is not laziness. Closing your eyes when you want to is not avoidance. Rest, like breathing, is a basic condition of being here. You do not need to earn it first.
