Small enough to actually do
Why two minutes matters, and how to keep a habit.
When we want to change, we tend to plan too grandly. Thirty minutes of meditation a day, fifty pages of reading, five kilometres of running. Then we fail, blame ourselves, and quietly stop. Real change begins with a step so small it almost seems silly: two slow breaths before bed, a glass of water after waking, a hand on your arm when something hurts. A two-minute habit will not transform a life at once. But it will quietly tell you, again and again: I did it. That alone is worth a great deal.
