When you do not want to talk

Sitting close without explaining, and feeling a little less alone in the quiet.

Sometimes we do not need to be understood — only to be near. There is no need to explain why we are quiet, no need to give the feeling a name. A cup of tea. A small lamp. A person who simply sits with you. That, in itself, is a kind of care. If you have such a person, thank them. If you do not, allow yourself to sit quietly with yourself, too.
